Using technology is a great way for students to begin creating their own media projects. The SAMR model expects that students will move toward creation and away from technology as simply another way to practice skills. The iPad apps featured here offer several ways students of all ages and abilities can easily create presentations to share with their classes and beyond.
Some of these projects use online web tools that need email addresses to subscribe. For students younger than 13, make a generic gmail address for which you keep the password secret. ie. scleecougars@gmail.com Then have students sign up for the account they need using their name+the gmail address. ie. sallysue+scleecougars@gmail.com Have them use something familiar for all of their passwords, ie. student id number.
